Military Aircraft Grade Aluminum

The MkII Razor is made out of military aircraft grade aluminum. It’s actually made from the same aluminum as the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. The high-strength alloy we use has been tried, tested, and battle-hardened. We believe your day should start with confidence and quality. The new Razor is anodized military specification to MIL-A-8625 type II, class 2 for a smooth low friction coating. The 1st batch, or the founders run, will have a limited edition black on black recessed BB logo. Field strip with ease, this razor only has three parts for cleaning, maintenance and longevity. With care, the MkII Razor will last you a lifetime and may even be something to pass along to the next generation.

Superior Razor

I have been shaving with a "safety razor" for the past 3 years and just received the MkII. It is awesome. Lightweight with a great handle length. A great shave while supporting our Veteran owned businesses and made it the USA....I'll call that a win!

Review of MK2 Razor

I like this razor, but you really need to get used to using it after using schick or gillette catridge razors for many years. Used it first time and cut up my chin and neck. 2nd time I did a lot better,

with just a little irritation.

A Darn Fine Shave

his razor is light. I mean... LIGHT. It's made from aircraft-grade aluminum, for Pete's sake! So, if you're used to the more weighty stainless steel types like myself, this razor takes some adjustment. For shaving medium, i went with the trusted Proraso cream frothed in the scuttle coupled with an Arco rubbed on base. This combo creates a super smooth, protective working surface for me that I used exclusively for many years. I put a Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless blade in the razor and began.

Starting out, I could barely feel the razor touch my face. I knew it was there, because I was holding it and could see it in the mirror. Because of the light nature, I had to make a conscious consorted effort to resist pressing down. This razor absolutely has a unique personality. The company's marketing for this is very militaristic, but this razor does not have the heavy handed Platoon Sergeant personality I was expecting. It's more like that aid station medic after you just got shot in the ***.

The MKII is black and possibly sand blasted aluminum - the finish is not smooth anywhere on the razor. The handle knurling is aggressive and is secure in your fingers, even when wet or soapy.

The razor has about a 30 degree angle of attack or so, i'd say. And the sound it makes as you remove whiskers from your face is unsettling at first. It is a completely different pitch and tone than any other razor i've tried and was something I was not expecting to stand out as much as it did. For…

Best Razor I’ve Owned

I recently started using this type of razor. They actually provide a very good and comfortable shave. This new MK II Razor is the best one I’ve used...by far! It is surprisingly light, yet provides a solid shave. Blades are incredibly cheap compared to the other 5 Blade types. One blade lasts me 1-2 weeks at least (I only shave around short beard). Definitely recommend! Can’t wait to try out Rum Smugglers soap when restocked.
